"And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;" (Rev. 2:18)

<1>What is the church in Thyatira? It is the fourth symbol in The Greatest Sign (islms15c.jpg (912 bytes)), the symbol of Islam (Is-Lam). <2>Islam comes from the word "tasleim," which means to be surrendered to the Will of God. <3>Being surrendered to God does not mean to be idle and let Him do everything for us, but to do our best and then surrender the result to Him with no attachment, "Work not for a reward, but cease not to do thy work" (Bhagavad-Gita 2:47).

<4>This church is also the end of the fourth chakra and the entering into the fifth chakra where the sound OM (omsmall.gif (884 bytes)) can be heard.

"I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first." (Rev. 2:19)

<5>By residing in the fourth chakra and trying to reach the fifth chakra, the quality of giving charity, doing service, and having great faith and patience will become manifest. You become merciful (Matthew 5:7). <6>Islam is the symbol of all these things. In fact definite rules and regulations are set up to awaken the people to do these things. Another quality in Islam was bringing the right of all being spiritually equal, "the last to be more than the first."

"Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols." (Rev. 2:20)

<7>Who is this Jezebel? She is the false understanding of the teachings and realities that were revealed to the person who has come to the fourth chakra and is trying to go to the fifth chakra. These false understandings (which occur because of narrowness and not being a universalist) will lead these people to become a hindrance in the way of The Plan of the Lord.

<8>Islam is the most misunderstood religion. The Moslems have forgotten the depth of the teaching of Muhammad. Like many other religions, they follow concepts that have been imposed on them. <9>They have forgotten to be surrendered to His Will, so they oppose any Prophet after Prophet Muhammad. They do not accept the three truths after the sign of Islam in The Greatest Sign, nor do they add the knowledge of the three previous signs to their own.

"And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not."
"Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds." (Rev. 2:21-22)

<10>Islam means "to be surrendered." The surrendered person is the one who understands that the Lord God is able to do whatever He wants to do, and all the great events in the world have been directed by His Permission. <11>However, Moslems, like Jews, did not believe in any other great personality that came to teach them, and they opposed Prophets after Muhammad. They, like the Jews, killed the next Messiah, Bab, and did not believe in him.

<12>The following of this false belief is like adultery with Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and this will create confusion and cause men tribulation and misery.

"And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works." (Rev. 2:23)

<13>In the phrase, "And I will kill her children with death," death means ignorance. Therefore, those who follow the false understandings of these teachings and realizations in this state (which is narrowness and not having a universal view), will become ignorant and their minds will become more narrow, further to death (ignorance).

"But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden." (Rev. 2:24)

<14>"As many as have not this doctrine" means, "As many as are surrendered to my will and are submissive to me, and so will progress further in the spiritual path, or are ignorant of the depth of Satan as they speak [they think they know], to these people will I be merciful."

<15>The point is that the doctrine you follow in your life is the most important part of your spiritual progress. Doctrine means your ideology and goal.

<16>Therefore, if you are ignorant of the depths of Satan (you are following false teachings or ignorance), "I will put upon you none other burden."

"But that which ye have already hold fast till I come." (Rev. 2:25)

<17>Those who stay in this state from ignorance will not be punished for their ignorance, but only for their bad deeds (samskaras, or sins).

"And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:" (Rev. 2:26)

<18>Those who overcome these false understandings of the teachings of the fourth symbol in The Greatest Sign will become surrendered ones to the Will of God. They will become people with expanded minds, and eventually will become Universalists. They will study the teachings of the three truths before (in The Greatest Sign) and also will accept the next three truths after this fourth one, "and keepeth my works unto the end." <19>Only such people can assume the leadership of the nations, because they have overcome the narrowness of the mind. The power over the nations was given to the Moslems when, in a short period of time, they conquered so many strong nations, such as Persia and Rome. <20>This was possible only because knowingly or unknowingly they were following the Eternal Divine Path and the true teachings of Prophet Muhammad at that time. <21>Also, it was His Will.

"And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father." (Rev. 2:27)

<22>"He shall rule them with a rod of iron" because his authority will not come from man but from the Father. <23>"Even as I received of my Father" means, in the same way, as my authority which is from the Father.

"And I will give him the morning star." (Rev. 2:28)

<24>The star of the morning is the sun. The "morning star" (sun) is the symbol of the highest spiritual realization, which is to be completely surrendered and submissive to The Plan of God.

<25>Surrendering does not mean escapism, but it means to use all the beautiful gifts of life, such as intellect, spiritual powers, our bodies, tongues, eyes, etc., toward bringing about The Plan of the Lord. This Plan was the main purpose for creation of the universe, which is to create the proper environment in order for all to reach Pure Consciousness. <26>So we try our best to use all of our abilities to do His Will and then surrender the results of our actions to Him. Or, we let Him do the actions through us.

<27>The people in the fourth chakra are those who are merciful and shall obtain mercy (Matthew 5:7). The Spirit says, "I will put upon [them] none other burden" (Rev. 2:24) and power over the nations will be given to them (Rev. 2:26), and they will receive the morning star -- true knowledge of God (Rev. 2:28). <28>Also, power is given to them over the fourth part of the earth (Rev. 6:8).

"He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches." (Rev. 2:29)

<29>Those whose hearts are open will know these revelations to be true.
